San Diego Master Composters

Master Composters is a program run jointly by Solana Recyclers and Quail Botanical Gardens. The program trains volunteers in the art of composting and how to teach others to compost. Volunteers give compost presentations to the community and conduct compost mini-workshops at Quail. Compost mini-workshops are held the 1st Sat. of the month at the Compost Demonstration Site, Quail Botanical Gardens, Encinitas. The 30-hour Master Composter Training Course is offered every Fall at Quail. Participants are expected to perform at least 30 hours of volunteer work for the program.
