The Heritage Roses Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to the celebration of the beauty of the Old Roses, particularly those introduced to commerce prior to the year 1867. Founded in 1974 by Miriam C. Wilkins of El Cerrito, California, HRG now has 1,000 members across the U.S.A. Local meetings may include slide lectures, plant sales or swaps, garden visits, etc.
Publications: Heritage Rose Letter is the national quarterly publication. The Southwest Region also produces a biannual newsletter, The Old Roser's Digest. Dues for Southwest members are $8 for both publications. Application forms are available on the website (http://www.thefragrantgarden.com/hrg.html).
